Abby Sunderland, 16, Sails Solo Around The Globe
Abby Sunderland, 16, set off on Saturday, Jan 23, 2010, from the Marina Del Rey Yacht Club, Calif. in her sailboat, Wild Eyes, for a world record nonstop, unassisted solo-circumnavigation of the globe by sea, to be completed by June 2010.
She plans to be at sea for about five to six months, documenting her voyage on her blog. This is Day 5 and she admits to catching 1-hour naps at her desk, the bed untouched. Abby keeps in touch with Team Abby via satellite phone.
