The National Geographic Photo Contest 2011 has received amazing submissions and, if you have not submitted your photos yet, better hurry for the deadline is November 30. For the past nine weeks, the society has been gathering and presenting galleries of submissions, encouraging readers to vote for them as well. What I like about the photos are the comments the photographers include with each photo to give a background or note about where and how the photo was taken.
There are three categories: People, Places, and Nature.
