Anne Frank diary guardian Miep Gies dies aged 100

Miep Gies passed away in the Netherlands at 100. She was the last surviving member of the group who helped protect Anne Frank and her family from the Nazis. She kept Anne’s diary safe until after the war.

I’ve read and watched countless books and movies about Anne Frank’s Diary but never from this perspective. It’s beautiful, poignant, and tremendously courageous. Anne would be pleasantly surprised to know that she is a celebrated author and that her diary is the most published and read book in History.
