Another Reason To Avoid Buying A DSLR–or Stupidity Reigns In Our Midst

This prohibition to using a DSLR takes the prize: “Due to their combination of high-quality sensor and high resolution, digital SLR cameras are unfortunately not permitted inside the station.”

How asinine can this be? This sign is posted at the entrance of the London Transport Museum since digital SLRs “are classed as professional equipment.” Note that there is no ban on taking photos, only on using “big” DSLRs and tripods which could “risk the safety of the majority of people for a minority.”

So is the ban due to the high-quality/high resolution of DSLRs or for safety reason?

So, y’all just bring your non-professional looking compact mirrorless now and you’ll be fine.
