Ballet! Blurs The Line Between Video and Stills Photography

Ryan Enn Hughes – Ballet! from Westside Studio on Vimeo.

“Ballet!” is a motion project that looks like a video but is in fact shot entirely with still photographs and lit with photographic strobes. Created with the Canon EOS 1DIV and Broncolor Scoro A4S. Featuring Dancer Rebecca Connor of Canada’s National Ballet School. This project was made possible by funding from The Ontario Arts Council’s Chalmers Arts Fellowship.
