If your website has a .CA registration, then CIRA wants to hand you a cheque for $5,000. You’ve got to win the .CA Impact Award, though, and make Canadian digital history. They are looking for people and organizations that use their .CA sites to truly make a difference in the lives of their users and those around them. You can enter yourself or someone you know.
The categories are E-Learning, Small Business, Not-For-Profit and Web Technology.
You must be 18 years or older and can submit in either English or French. To be eligible, entries must be received by CIRA before 11:59 p.m. (Pacific Time) on (March 25, 2011).

Your entry demonstrates and taps into the potential of the Internet and .CA domain names as tools for learning. * Your entry is innovative in the ways it allows your and others to share knowledge and/or promote education in Canada and around the world. * Your entry allows you to share valuable knowledge. * Your entry is clearly developed and designed in the interests of the broader community.
Small Business
Your entry demonstrates and taps into the potential of the Internet and .CA domain names to make a difference in the lives of your customers and advance organizational goals. * Your entry is innovative in the ways it allows you to make the best use of resources to enhance relationships with key stakeholders and customers. * Your entry clearly and effectively allows the business to advance its organizational goals and generate measurable return on investment. * Your entry has had a demonstrated impact on the success and growth of the business.
Not-for-Profit
Your entry demonstrates and taps into the potential of the Internet and .CA domain names to make a difference in the lives of members, donors and or the public. * Your entry is innovative in the ways it allows you to make the best use of resources. * Your entry clearly and effectively allows the organization to advance its non-commercial goals. * Your entry has clearly had an impact on the organization, its members and the broader community.
Web Technology
Your technology or website has clearly made a difference on the speed, reliability, practicality and/or security of the Internet and the .CA online community. * Your technology or website is clearly innovative and creative. * Your technology or website has had a positive impact on the organization submitting the entry, in the form of increased sales, enhanced performance, or recognition. * At the heart of your entry is an innovation that being taken up by others to expand its impact.
