The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR3 / ZX3 features 14.1MP resolution (1/2.33-in. CCD), 8x wide-angle optical zoom (25-200mm equiv.), optical Image Stabilization, a 6.9-cm (2.7-in.) LCD display screen (230k-dot), and HD Movie in AVCHD Lite — all in a super compact 26mm (1.02 in.) thin body.

The 8x wide-angle optical zoom is ideal for capturing sweeping landscapes, wide interior shots, large group shots as well as telephoto shots such as distant sports and wildlife action. A Power Optical Image Stabilization helps reduce the blurring effect of hand-shake even at the long zoom settings or in challenging low lighting conditions.

Intelligent AUTO, Intelligent Resolution and Intelligent Exposure make it easy for beginers. Other practical features include Happy Mode (optimizes colour, saturation and brightness) and Face Recognition.

The Panasonic ZR3 / ZX3 boasts a Sonic Speed AF (Auto Focus) feature that enables super-fast response time. The camera’s quick response makes it easier to capture sudden, spur-of-the-moment photo opportunities – allowing users to lock on the subject in approximately 0.26 second (wide-end) / 0.31 second (tele-end). The LUMIX ZR3 / ZX3 also features a short startup time of approximately 1.1 second.
