Can Nokia Set Itself Apart With Pure View Technology?

From nokia

It’s interesting that Nokia (and other cellphone makers) are trying to set itself apart from its competitors (read Apple iPhone) by touting its new “Pure View” image technology to be introduced February 27, 2012. If the images in the video is an indication of what’s ahead, it’s pretty impressive considering that shooting snow is not the easiest thing to do. If the camera can automatically adjust white balance properly and compensate for underexposure due to the white brillant snow — and can do the same exposure trick in other difficult lighting situations — it should prove interesting. Of course, if this Pure View is third party technology, it will soon be also available in all other cellphones.
