Earth’s Population Represented By One Face

Question: If you wanted to draw the most typical human face to represent Earth’s population (which currently stands at approximately 7 billion), how would you go about doing it?

Answer: National Geographic’s research shows that it would be a Chinese (of Han descent), male, aged 28. It then asked the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing to use 190,000 photos of 28 year-old Han Chinese collected over 10 years to create a composite image of the most typical face on Planet Earth. Then, digital artist Joe Leortola reproduced the face using 7,000 human figures (one for each million people).

In 2030, that person will come from India.
