Eyeglasses 007 Would Love to Have

Computer-enhanced vision meshes eye-tracking technology with the Internet (and smart phone and GPS) to provide augmented vision to the wearer of these eye glasses. Look at a building, close your eyes for 2 seconds and the image of the building is sent to an application like Google Earth, identifies the building and returns the name (or an ad for a bar at the top) to your smart phone. Or, imagine meeting someone you recognize but can’t remember her name. No problem, the face is matched against a database and the name displayed on your smart phone.

These technologies are of course being used by the military as well as for developing life-assistance tools for the severely disabled.
