Fotio — A Photo Booth Without the Booth

You won’t be seeing this at CES 2013, but Fotio is a rental camera that looks like it came from your grandfather’s attic. This vintage-looking camera takes digital images, not film. You rent it for an event for US $600 (for 6 hours supervised), then your guests can take pictures (by pressing the big red button on the cable release) that are saved onto a USB drive that you get to keep at the end of the event. The pictures are also uploaded within 24 hours onto Fotio’s web site. Your guests take their own pictures which they view as a slide show on the built-in 20-inch iMac screen and then take a ticket to view the pictures later online.

Visit the Fotio site.
