Fujifilm UK Limited invites:
- all UK (United Kingdom) students to enter the competition Fujifilm 2015 Student Awards – ‘REFLECTIONS – Film’, and
- everyone in the UK who owns an Instax and Instax film to enter the the competittion Fujifilm 2015 Student Awards – ‘REFLECTIONS – Instax’.
There is a ‘REFLECTIONS – film and Instax’ brief for the Fujifilm UK Student Awards 2015.
Students and Instax entrants need to show amazing effects and beautiful images using mirrors, water and any other reflective surface.
We want images that show the brief, the very best of student and instant photography based on reflections – fresh ideas, creativity, technical wizardry and images that push the boundaries.
Images need to be excellent quality and photographers need to see things differently.
You can either shoot a series of images, or single images, the choice is yours. However, the judges will be looking for a single image as the winner. You can submit your series as single images and please feel free to submit many entries – there is no limit.
The judges will be looking for creativity, stand out from the crowd, images that push the boundaries, amazing effects, interpretation of what ‘reflections’ means to you, images using mirrors, water and any reflective surface and no copycat images. Experiment with: emulsions, black and white, black and white CN, instant photography.
Show the benefits of shooting on film, not digital. The Fujifilm Student UK Awards aim to showcase silver halide film at its finest.
Fujifilm 2015 Student Awards – ‘REFLECTIONS – Film’
- Film submissions are invited from all UK students, not just those undertaking courses involving photography.
- All images must be taken on Fujifilm film and submitted via www.fujifilmstudentawards.co.uk .
- Entry is FREE and students can enter as many photographs as they wish.
- The overall Student (film) winner will receive the following prizes:
- The title, Fujifilm Student Photographer of the Year 2015.
- £200 worth of Fujifilm Professional film.
- A professionally produced folio of prints from Metroprint.
- A one-to-one printing/consultancy session with one of Metroprint’s top printers.
- £100 worth of books from Focal Press.
- Monthly ‘Curator’s Choice’
- Also, at the end of each month the judges will review all the images submitted that month. From these they will select a ‘Curators Choice’ for both film (students) and Instax (everyone) and pick two winners from each category.
- The selected image will be featured on the Awards website and social media channels.
- The monthly (Film) winner will be presented with a book of their choice from Focal press, a free 12″ x 16″ professionally produced print of their winning image by Metroprint and 10 rolls of Fujifilm film.
- The college or university that submits the most entries will win £500 worth of books from Focal Press.
- The closing date for the competition is 31 March 2015.

- Instax submissions are invited from all of the UK, not just students or those undertaking courses involving photography.
- All images must be taken on a Fujifilm Instax Camera using Fujifilm Instax film and submitted via www.fujifilmstudentawards.co.uk – again.
- Entry is FREE and participants can enter as many photographs as they wish.
- The overall (Instax) winner for 2015 will receive the following prizes:
- Instax Mini 8,
- Instax Mini 90,
- Instax Wide 300,
- Instax film, and
- the SP-1 Instax Share Printer.
- Monthly ‘Curator’s Choice’:
- Also, at the end of each month the judges will review all the images submitted that month. From these they will select a ‘Curators Choice’ for both film (students) and Instax (everyone) and pick two winners from each category.
- For the monthly (Instax) winner, the Instax image will be selected, featured on the Award’s website and social media channels.
- The Instax winner of each monthly award will be presented with 5 packs of Instax film and an Instax Photo Book.
- The closing date for the competition is 31 March 2015.

“SHARE” the Memories in your Smartphones with instax SHARE. This printer enables easy creation of instax prints using images sent wirelessly from a smartphone.
Fujifilm’s instax mini instant cameras, which output photos in the traditional analog style, are becoming popular among teenage girls and women in their early 20s in many countries.
To accommodate requests from users who wish to create such instax prints from smartphone images, we have developed instax SHARE SP-1 that enables easy and quick creation of instax prints from smartphone images.
Merit judging takes place in April 2015 and the final judging will be completed by May 2015, with the winner to be announced during May 2015.
