FUJIFILM Europe recently announced the establishment of a new facility based in its manufacturing and R&D centre in Tilburg, the Netherlands, called the Open Innovation Hub. This new European facility joins the two sister Open Innovation Hubs in Santa Clara, USA and Tokyo, Japan.

Announcement of Open Innovation Hub in Europe

Fujifilm opens its doors for future co-creation

FUJIFILM Europe is pleased to announce the establishment of a new facility based in its manufacturing and R&D centre in Tilburg, the Netherlands, called the Open Innovation Hub. This new European facility joins the two sister Open Innovation Hubs in Santa Clara, USA and Tokyo, Japan. The official opening ceremony will take place on March 9th.

Visitors to the Open Innovation Hub will be taken on a trip through the evolution of Fujifilm, the company’s production portfolio and core technologies. After this tour, visitors can discuss and identify possible collaboration opportunities to find innovative solutions to technological challenges.

Today Fujifilm is launching a new website: www.fujifilminnovation.eu. The new website will allow visitors to gain a greater understanding of Fujifilm’s open innovation culture and features a broad show case of technology ideas.

About Fujifilm in Europe
Nowadays Fujifilm entities operate in about 50 group companies in Europe and employ approximately 5,000 people engaged in R&D, manufacturing, sales, and service support. Throughout Europe they serve a range of industries including medical, chemical, graphic arts, electronic materials, optics, recording media, and photographic technologies.

FUJIFILM Manufacturing Europe B.V. is located in Tilburg and is one of Fujifilm’s largest production facilities outside Japan. The company produces membranes, photographic paper and offset plates. Tilburg’s site also accommodates a Corporate Research Laboratory. In Tilburg, there is a combination of expertise in research, production and supply chain management.
