Fujifilm X-E3 Review @ Neocamera

Neocamera just published a review of the Fujifilm X-E3  mirrorless digital camera. This is the newest member of the X-mount family of mirrorless and it packs the latest Fujfilm APS-C sensor in a compact camera designed to look like a small rangefinder.

The Fujifilm X-E3 offers a 24 megapixels X-Trans CMOS III sensor with fast read-out to deliver both 14 FPS full-resolution continuous shooting and 4K Ultra-HD video using an electronic shutter. With a mechanical shutter it stall manages an impressive 8 FPS. Its sensor includes a hybrid 325-point autofocus system which combines the speed of Phase-Detection with the accuracy of Contrast-Detection.

Fujifilm made the X-E3 much smaller than its predecessor by removing the ubiquitous 4-way controller found on every other mirrorless. Instead, focus, menus and playback is operated with a small joystick, freeing space on the back of the camera. Even though it lost the 4-way controller, the X-E3 is still designed for efficiency with dual control-dials, a shutter-speed dial and direct EC dial.

The new interface has a huge impact on ergonomics, so read Neocamera’s Fujifilm X-E3 review to get the whole scoop. As always, image-quality and performance are also analyzed and accompanied by a full-resolution gallery of images at all ISO settings.
