Written in collaboration between mother and daughter, “Are you ready for a bumpy ride?” chronicles Charlotte Stokes’s turbulent journey from war-time Germany to England and then to Canada. We were lucky enough to be able to chat with Jane and Charlotte about the importance of making a book about the twists and turns—and the bumps—in one woman’s life.
