- Starting at midnight EDT on Monday, April 20, and running through Sunday, April 26, images taken by the Hubble Space Telescope will be broadcast several times each hour on the Toshiba Vision dual LED screens in Times Square, New York.

“On April 23, 1990, NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope was placed in orbit capturing the minds and imaginations of people around the world.”
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of this scientific icon, NASA and the Newseum will unveil the official Hubble anniversary image to the world.
- Special guests will include NASA Administrator Charlie Bolden, Associate Administrator for the Science Mission Directorate John Grunsfeld, and Hubble Senior Project Scientist Jennifer Wiseman.

On Saturday, April 25, at a special Inside Media program, veteran astronaut John Grunsfeld and Zoltan Levay of the Space Telescope Science Institute will offer their insights on Hubble’s legacy and the future of space exploration.
- Grunsfeld is a veteran of five space shuttle flights and visited Hubble three times during these missions.
Their appearance coincides with the release of the new Taschen book “Expanding Universe: Photographs from the Hubble Space Telescope,” which features breathtaking images from deep space taken by the Hubble.
- Levay is imaging lead at the Space Telescope Science Institute and will explain how the pictures from the book were composed.
- A book signing will follow the program.
