I can snap my kids at the school play, can’t I?

DPNow has an interesting article on whether you are allowed to take pictures of your kid in a school play. Parents, and schools, are going a bit off the rocker when they object to photography in these situations. While parents fret that strangers (who are the parents of the friends of their kids) are snapping photos of their kids for potentially objectionable purposes… their kids are posting risqué photos of themselves on Facebook and elsewhere on the Internet for anyone to download.
