Infrared photography is “cool” — even though you are really using the part of the light spectrum that is “thermal” and invisible to the human eye. Infrared photography is used by the military in night vision googles and in astronomy to penetrate dusty regions of space. If you are getting bored of “normal” photography and need something different, then landscape infrared photography can open up a totally new world to your eyes. You can take infrared photos by using an infrared filter on the front of the lens or you can permanently convert your camera to take IR photos.
