Photoxels

Interview With Jake Chessum

Professional Photographer has an audio slideshow with the London born, New York Based portrait photographer Jake Chessum on how he takes pictures of celebrities.

I love the final parting advice: “Don’t try to take pictures that you think are going to get you a job. Take pictures that you want to look at, and can talk about enthusiastically. There’s no point in trying to emulate the work of other photographers. A good photo editor will see straight through it. It is a cut-throat business with a ludicrous amount of competition.

Listen and view the audio slideshow at: Professional Photographer.
