Iron Man has this particle physicist to thank for his new armor

Iron Man 2

In Iron Man 2, Tony Stark is slowly dying from the palladium that powers the mini nuclear reactor in his suit which gives him superhuman strength to vanquish the bad guys. What to replace it with?

Hollywood turned to Mark Wise, a Caltech McCone Professor of High Energy Physics for advice. He and one of his graduate students, Tim Dulaney, went to Marvel Studios in Manhattan Beach to give the filmmakers a crash course in elementary particle physics.

I’m not sure how much the Hollywood producers understood from the discussions, and that seemed to be reflected in the movie: it’s all pretty vague.
