It’s Now Official: Nikon Announces Development of Professional Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera and Lenses

Hot on the release of their teaser video, Nikon has today officially announced the development of its professional full-frame mirrorless camera and lenses.

It’s basically another teaser, since no names, pictures or details of the new camera, mount and lenses have yet been revealed.

One product that current Nikkor F-mount users will welcome (and that was of course expected) is the development of an F-Mount adapter to “enable the use of a wide variety of F-Mount NIKKOR lenses with the new camera.”

Nikon is reassuring their DSLRs users that it will continue to develop DSLR technology so that “users will have two industry-leading camera systems to choose from, giving consumers the choice to enjoy the unique values that each system offers.”

Release date and suggested retail prices TBA.

Stay tuned.
