Leica Store Miami invites you to the Leica Lounge on Thursday, January 12, 2017 with photographer Andrew Kaufman, at 7 PM – 8:30 PM.
- Andrew will discuss his latest book, The Isthmus, which chronicles his decade-long project to document the people and places shaped by the construction of the new Panama Canal.
Begun in 2004, Kaufman’s quest to document Panama’s transformation has taken him to all corners of Panama, from the Pacific entrance of the canal (under the Bridge of the Americas) to Panama City’s gleaming high-rise neighborhoods to the slums of Chorillo, Curundu and beyond. The Isthmus is two stories, one of Panama and the other, El Canal. The project will culminate with the official opening of the canal and the completion of Kaufman’s 10+ year photographic odyssey.
- Location is:

372 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, Florida 33134
