Long Lens Landscape Photography

Sergio Ballivian is a native of La Paz, Bolivia and currently lives in Boulder, Colorado. He is a professional photographer who works with editorial, commercial and fine art clients. He also runs custom photographic tours to a few exceptional locations around the world as well as adventure tours to Bolivia, Chile and Peru. In this article, he shares his love for landscape photography using telephoto lenses. You read that right. Not using wide-angle lenses, but using mostly a 300mm tele lens. The long lens allows him to frame scenes that you are not able to get otherwise. The images are superb!

He also shares tips and techniques about what type of tripod to use, the best exposure, and how to make the most of technology.
