Manimbaphone or Why You Should Stay in School

George Simhoni – Manimbaphone from Westside Studio on Vimeo.

Tongue-in-cheek public service ad on why you should stay in school instead of giving up and hanging out in malls. Because you don’t want to end up as a Man-imbaphone.

From the Westside Studio blog (there’re also Behind the Scenes pictures):

One panel van, 3 Canon 5D’s, 6 lights, 10 crew, 9 talent, 800 and 1600 ISO, and lot’s of Pizza. The Manimbaphone project was to demonstrate our ability to bring forth a captivating video that has great production value but still with an eye to the simplification of the whole production process. The files were then worked on at Rooster by Dave DeCarlo and Bob Kennedy. The transfer and colouring was handled at Rooster as well. Where there is a will there is a way to produce many smaller-use projects in this way. Our stills talent can shine in the “Motion” world as well.
