Who hasn’t watched 24, the TV series that featured the indestructible Jack Bauer who, at great personal expense to himself, family and friends, held terrorists at bay? Often, some of those terrorists happened to be of his own government. There were 8 seasons in all, each season representing one day, each hour one episode. So, in all, according to the story line, we watched only 8 (not necessarily consecutive) days of intense 24 one-hour episodes in which countless threats were thwarted and hundreds of bad (and good) guys were shot or blown to bits. I have never seen so many people killed in a one-hour period, never mind in one day (one season).
For fans of the show and of Kiefer Sutherland (who plays the Jack Bauer character), here’s a great interview on Toronto.com of the actor as he reminisces on the show, discusses the toll it has taken on his personal life and what he is involved in now.
