Thom Hogan has an interesting piece on whether the compact mirrorless cameras are gaining ground vis-à-vis the DSLRs. Are photographers trying them out or adopting them? Are the mirrorless replacing the DSLRs or the compact high-end cameras? And, why do DSLRs have to be so !@#$ heavy when their film counterparts were not? Are camera manufacturers climbing up the proverbial wrong tree?
