Model Crystal Renn, a Plus-size model and poster woman for curvy girls everywhere, is in high demand, has been published in Vogue and Glamour, walks the runway for Jean Paul Gaultier, and is the face and body of Dolce & Gabbana ads. But as a teen, she fought bulimia and anorexia.
So she saw shocked when she saw the published results of a recent photo shoot she did for charity Fashion for Passion. “I didn’t think it was an accurate portrayal of my body in any way. I’m a size 10, and that’s more like a size 2.”
Photographer (and wouldn’t you believe it’s a photographer the culprit) Nicholas Routzen defends his action: “The minimal retouching that I did do, it’s nothing you wouldn’t see in any magazine today.”
