Modern Tales of 1001 Arabian Nights

In this age of pranks, I can’t vouch for the veracity of this story but, if true, it sounds like a modern tale from 1001 Arabian Nights. Apparently, so the story goes, Hafid (for so is the name of our protagonist) stole a smartphone left on a deck chair at the beach in Ibiza, Spain and, overjoyed with the wonderful electronic gadget and especially the built-in camera, started snapping pictures of himself and friends all over the place. He obviously enjoys the good quality photos the phone gave but little did he realize that he would become an overnight sensation, with his images posted on the Internet for all the world to see. The reason being that each time he snaps a picture, that picture gets uploaded to the owner’s Dropbox. The owner has identified the thief as living in Dubai and published selected photos (we wouldn’t want to see certain ones, I am sure) to Tumblr.
