Moonwalk Shot From 1 Mile Away With A 800mm Lens

Award winning filmmaker Bryan Smith shoots the video of Dean Potter walking the highline at Cathedral Peak as the moon rises. He’s about 1 mile away and shoots with a 1600mm equivalent telephoto lens.

Moonwalk from Bryan Smith on Vimeo.

The ultimate full moon shot. Dean Potter walks a highline at Cathedral Peak as the sun sets and the moon rises. Shot from over 1 mile away with a Canon 800mm and 2X.

I could be wrong, but since the moonrise seems to be a timelapse and the line walk is realtime, this must be two different videos edited into one? Still, the final result is simply stunning and beautiful!
