New Camera Does Not Need A Viewfinder, LCD

From Diginfonews

This new camera does not have a viewfinder or even a LCD, but still allows you to frame and compose your picture. How? By projecting the frame onto the scene! It is the brainchild of students at Osaka University and it works by projecting an outline of the area that will be photographed. Dubbed ClippingLight, the camera system is made up of a camera and a projector. An innovative twist zoom works by simply twisting the camera to the right (zoom in) and to the left (zoom out). Note that it is the frame that becomes smaller (zoom in) and bigger (zoom out) since there is no viewfinder. Of course, you had better be the only person taking a picture using this camera system otherwise all those superimposed frames might get very difficult to differentiate. As the researchers demoed, it may be easier now to track and take pictures of a… UFO???
