This winter, don’t leave home without your camera, as your next shot could be a winner. From December 14 until February 29, 2016 snap photos in Toronto parks, ravines and recreation centres for a chance to win great prizes.
Prizes
- There will be one Grand Prize from all entries across all categories. The Grand Prize will be a Nikon D3300 camera kit, including the camera body, AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II and AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200mm f/4-5.6G ED VR II lenses, and a Nikon Camera Bag (approximate retail value $729.95 CAD before tax) and a space in Kristian Bogner’s Photographic Rockstar Workshop (approximate retail value $448 CAD before tax).
- There will be one first prize in each of the six (6) categories of prizes to be won. The first place winners in the Family Fun, Winter Wildlife and The Great Indoors categories will receive a Nikon COOLPIX AW130 (approximate retail value $349.95 CAD before tax). The first place winners in the Colour in Winter and Walking in a Winter Wonderland categories will receive a Nikon COOLPIX S3700 (approximate retail value $139.95 CAD before tax). The first place winner in the Toronto Walking Tour category will receive a space in Kristian Bogner’s Photographic Rockstar Workshop (approximate retail value $448 CAD before tax). All finalists will receive a certificate from the City of Toronto.
- In each category there will be five (5) runners-up who receive an honourable mention and a certificate from the City of Toronto, Parks Forestry & Recreation.
- There will be three (3) judges selection winners as chosen by each expert judge who will receive a certificate from the City of Toronto.
- One (1) People’s Choice winner will be selected through votes on the contest website from the public, who will receive a space on Kristian Bogner’s Photographic Rockstar Workshop approximate retail value $448 CAD before tax.
- There may also be a number of honourable mentions for each category and People’s Choice.
People’s Choice
- This year there will also be a chance for the public to pick their favourite photos.
- The first round of voting for People’s Choice opens January 11, 2016.
- After the contest close, the 30 photos with the most votes will be determined and posted for a second and final round of voting.
