Nikon D7000 Digital-SLR Camera Recipient of EISA Award

August 22, 2011

TOKYO- Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce that the Nikon D7000 digital-SLR camera is the recipient of the European Advanced SLR 2011-2012 award presented by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA). In April of this year, the D7000 was also the recipient of the TIPA Awards 2011’s Best D-SLR Advanced, presented by the Technical Image Press Association, as well as the “red dot award: product design 2011”.

EISA comments regarding selection

“The D7000 is packed with the high-end features it inherited from the company’s D300 and D300S models. The solid body offers high-speed autofocus, a bright 3-inch LCD, Integrated Dust Reduction System, dual SDXC card slots and Full HD Video. An exceptionally good noise-control system means the 16.2-million-pixel-sensor can be used at ISO 6400 and still produce high quality, clean images – even at Hi 1(ISO 12800 equivalent) noise is not much of an issue. ”
About the EISA awards

EISA is the association of 50 major photo, video, audio, home theater and mobile device magazines published in Europe. Each year, EISA chooses the best models released over the past year in Europe from a number of categories of imaging, audio and mobile devices.
