TOKYO – Nikon Corporation is pleased to announce that Nikon Df and D750 digital SLR cameras and Nikon 1 V3, Advanced Camera with Interchangeable Lenses are the recipients of iF Product Design Awards 2015. The iF Product Design Awards are globally prestigious industrial product design awards sponsored by International Forum Design GmbH of Hanover Germany.
The iF Design Awards have been sponsored by iF Industrie Forum Design e.V., based in Hanover Germany, since 1953. Each year, industrial products exhibiting superior design from around the world are selected as recipients of these prestigious awards, among them the Product Design Awards, Communication Design Awards, and Packaging Awards. This year, 4,783 products from 53 countries were evaluated, with the various awards being presented to a total of 1,629 products. In selecting recipients of iF Product Design Awards, product aspects including quality of design, functionality, degree of innovation, simplicity of operation, and branding are considered.

Nikon Df
The Df is an extremely portable, compact and lightweight Nikon FX-format digital SLR camera that combines superior image quality over a broad range of sensitivities with intuitive dial operation that makes using the camera fun. The large, metal mechanical dials adopted for the Df enable simple operation with immediate visual verification of settings in a precision body design. In addition, the camera is equipped with a Nikon FX-format CMOS image sensor and the EXPEED 3 image-processing engine, and offers an effective pixel count of 16.2-million pixels.
Nikon D750
The D750 is a Nikon FX-format digital SLR camera that offers an effective pixel count of 24.3-million pixels, and is equipped with a new Nikon FX-format CMOS image sensor and the EXPEED 4 image-processing engine. It supports superior image quality and full-scale specifications that pursue those of professional models, all in a very agile compact, lightweight, and slim body. It is the first Nikon FX-format camera for which a tilting LCD monitor and built-in Wi-Fi® function have been adopted for greater convenience.
Nikon 1 V3
The Nikon 1 V3 is an Advanced Camera with Interchangeable Lenses that boasts superior moving-subject tracking performance with the world’s fastest* high-speed continuous shooting rate of approximately 20 fps with AF, and up to approximately 60 fps when focus is locked, as well as a short shooting time lag, all in a compact and lightweight body that is extremely agile. It offers an operational system that users of digital SLRs will find familiar. It is also equipped with a tilting LCD monitor that enables flexible shooting from any angle, and a touch-screen panel that supports simple and intuitive operation. In addition, the Nikon 1 V3 is equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi® function that allows users to easily transfer and share high-quality images.
