Nikon Teaser Shares Test Photographers’ First Impressions

Nikon’s latest teaser “shares” test photographers’ first impressions. In a short 50 second video, we hear sound bites from Vivian Liu (Urban Architect and Photographer), Marsel Van Oosten (Nature Photographer) and Brandon Woelfel (Social Media Creator), about how the new camera is “so lightweight, so reliable, super sharp.

We also get a glimpse of the F-mount adapter that will provide compatibility with existing Nikon DSLR lenses and the claim that “It’s really great. I can still use all my F-mount lenses on the new camera.

The official unveiling is going to be broadcast live from Tokyo on this Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 12am ET (in other words, Wednesday, August 22 at midnight ET) on the Nikon mirrorless site.

Of course, all the marketing claims will have to be proven once the camera lands on the desk of reviewers. It is interesting to note that we do not hear a testimony from a sports photographer. Of course, we do not expect a long telephoto to be released with the camera this soon. And keep in mind that using a mount adapter has its limitations.
