Nokia Demos Flexible Phone Prototype

We’ve seen this flexible user interface prototype before but never in a product prototype. It’s similar to (and probably based on) the PaperPhone, invented by Roel Vertegaal, Director of Queen’s University Human Media Lab in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, and which uses bend gestures to operate it.

Question is, do you really want to twist and bend your phone instead of touching the screen? I can’t imagine carrying such a phone in your pocket or purse because there is no saying who it will dial as it gets inadvertently bent. And how many times can you bend it before it breaks? Also, it looks very tiring.
