Point-and-shoot users won’t get the very most out of the camera but, thanks to an excellent JPEG engine, it’s likely they’ll spend much of their time too delighted by their pictures to worry about it.

We’ve added another Olympus E-PL1 [Specs] Review to our Reviews Matrix.

DPReview has published their review of the Olympus E-PL1, an easy-to-use version of the E-P2 Digital Interchangeable Lens (DIL) camera. The E-PL1 features 12.3MP resolution (on a large 17.3 x 13.0 mm Live MOS sensor), sensor-shift image stabilization to help reduce camera shake, a direct HD Movie button, a 6.9-cm (2.7-in.) LCD display screen (230k-dot), a built-in pop-up flash, Art Filters, Scene Modes, and a new Live Guide that simplifies exposure adjustments without having to know the technical lingo — all in a compact and light body.
