OLYMPUS Global Photo Contest 2014
Photography has the power to bring people together from all over the world.
Olympus is proud to host this Global Photo Contest to connect photographers worldwide, and we would be honored to have you take part in this contest.ARE YOU ONE OF THE WORLD’S BEST OLYMPUS PHOTOGRAPHERS?
Compete against Olympus camera users from all over the world. You could win an OM-D E-M1, your choice of any Micro Four Thirds lens or a variety of other fantastic prizes.
Eligibility: Anyone who registers to enter.
- If you are under 18, please obtain your parent’s or guardian’s consent before entering.
Entries are limited to photos taken with an Olympus digital camera.
- However, in the case of interchangeable lens cameras, as long as the camera body is an Olympus, a non-Olympus lens may be used.
- Entry is free. However, entrants will need to assume any internet connection costs incurred when entering.
Each entrant may submit up to 5 photo entries for each category.
- Due to system configuration, photos submitted from the same email address will be regarded as the same entrant’s entries.
- The same work may not be entered in multiple categories.
Awards will be presented to 13 people in each category as follows.
First Prize: Olympus OM-D E-M1 or choice of Micro Four Thirds lens.
Second Prize: Olympus PEN.
- Winner can choose from PEN kits available in winner’s country of residence.
Third Prize: Stylus 1 or Stylus TG-3 Tough.
Winner’s Choice.
10 Runners-Up: Olympus original gear.

- Art FilterFor the Art Filter category: 1) photos must be taken using Art Filters built into Olympus cameras, 2) no post processing is allowed.
- Macro
- Selfie
Three professional photographers will judge the entries,taking into consideration vote scores from participants.

Voting
- Membership registration is required to vote.
- To vote for an entry, click the Vote button on the webpage displaying that entry.
- *Only one vote per entry may be cast per day.
- *For each vote, 10 points will be awarded.
Photo entry ends at 11:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2014 JST (Japan Standard Time).
- The equivalent end date in Eastern Standard Time (EST) is 11:00 PM on 10/2/14.
Voting: 11:00AM Thursday, July 10, 2014 (JST) ~ 11:00 AM Friday, October 3, 2014 JST (Japan Standard Time).
Winners Announced: 11:00AM Friday, November 7, 2014 JST (Japan Standard Time).
Copyrights to photo entries will be retained by the entrant, but consent is given for Olympus Imaging Corporation to use the photo entries for promotional and other activities in all types of media for unlimited period of time in world-wide, free of charge.
Olympus Imaging Corporation may perform slight alteration or processing when publishing, displaying, or otherwise using award-winning entries.
