One year ago, the Chicago Sun-Times eliminated all of its 28 photo staff. Where are they now?

A year ago, the Chicago Sun-Times laid off its photo staff and turned to freelance photographers instead. The reasoning back then was that they were beginning to rely more on the use of videos and multimedia, and photographers who did only stills were redundant.

Where are these 28 photographers now?

Four were rehired by the Sun-Times as multimedia journalists. Four were hired by Yahoo! which was looking to improve its photo quality. Four went into early retirement.
