Panasonic Firmware Updates Ver. 2.2 (2016/07/20) for the G7 and GX8 Cameras: New Functions & Improvements

The following video presents LUMIX DMC-GX8 – DMC-G7 – DMC-FZ300 4K Photo Modes:
“Panasonic LUMIX cameras feature 4K VIDEO/PHOTO capability. The new 4K Photo mode (available on the GX8, G7 & FZ300) offer three new modes;
►4K Burst mode
►4K Burst Start/Stop[S/S] mode
►4K Pre-Burst mode.
All these modes make it easy to capture the spur-of-the-moment in a 8-megapixel equivalent picture shot at 30 fps. All you have to do after shooting is is to pick up the frame you want in the camera.

Yesterday, Panasonic issued firmware updates (Ver. 2.2) for the G7 and GX8 to add a couple of options to the Fn button and MENU. In addition, a freezing issue in the Tracking AF of the GX8 has also been “improved.”

  1. New functions are added in Fn button.
    The option “Wireless Setup(Flash)” has been added to [Setting in REC mod] on the [Fn Button Set] of [Custom] menu.
    The option “Wi-Fi” and “LVF/Monitor Switch” have been added to [Setting in PLAY mode] on the [Fn Button Set] of [Custom] menu.

  1. New functions are added in Fn button.
