First footage shot with the new Panasonic Varicam 35! The Varicam 35 4K camera/recorder incorporates a newly-developed super 35mm MOS image sensor and AVC-ULTRA family of video codecs. The new camera’s superb image handling in multiple formats including 4K, UHD, 2K and HD make it an unparalleled tool for high-end filmmaking, and commercials and episodic production as well as live 4K events.

Workflow Overview

VariCam 35 has three unique features to accelerate post workflow:

1. Simultaneous recording of Master clip and Dailies, allows to save time and cost of post production.
2. In-Camera Color Grading Bulit-in color grading can be controlled by external device via Ethernet or Wi-Fi interface^*1, and CDL and 3D-LUT files are stored into Main, Sub, and Codex V-RAW Recorder.^*1
3. Main and Sub recorder is independently selectable either non-destructive or baked-in.
