Photography can be said to be the art of seeing, recording and creating visually. But Pete Eckert is, as the title of this post indicates, totally blind. He did not used to be blind, but losing his eyesight did not stop him from pursuing photography — from “seeing” using sound. As you watch this video, bear in mind that Pete did not “see” any of his work that was celebrated and displayed. He was the Grand Prize recipient of Artists Wanted: Exposure 2008.
