TORONTO, ON., September 22, 2010 – Gentec International is pleased to introduce the new Optex PRINTSCAN1 Digital Scanner, an easy-to-use, high resolution scanner that lets you preserve and protect your old photos in seconds.

The PRINTSCAN1 scans prints from wallet size up to 4” x 6”, without the need for original negatives. The simple, one-touch, sheet-fed scanner produces high-quality digital photos from your old colour or black & white prints. Simply insert a photo into the scanner slot and scan directly to an SD/SDHC card inserted into the memory card slot, or a USB drive connected to the built-in USB port.

With convenient PC connectivity, the scanner also acts as a removable storage device when connected to a computer (PC and Mac compatible) using the supplied USB cable. For image editing, the PRINTSCAN1 includes ArcSoft MediaImpression® software.

The suggested retail price of the Optex PRINTSCAN1 Digital Scanner is CAD $149.99.
