EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This Samsung MV800 Review is based on a production model. All sample images are unretouched, except where specified.
Fun in an ultra compact digital camera. The Samsung MV800 is targeted to point-and-shoot photographers and features 16.1 MP, a 5x optical zoom and a 26mm wide-angle lens. It is slim enough to carry in a jeans pocket.
The MV800 builds on the success of Samsung’s DualView cameras, answering the popular need (especially among the younger crowd) to take self-portraits, usually achieved with the camera held at arm’s length. The Multi-View Flip-out LCD rotates from 0 to 180° to face the front and its 3.0-in. high resolution capacitive touch screen displays a large and clear view. If you are used to a touch screen cellphone, you’ll feel at ease with the Smart Touch user interface.
There are lots of fun and creative features, including Live Panorama, Magic Frame, Picture-in-Picture Shot, Funny Face and Smart Filter. You can record in HD and zoom during recording with zoom noise reduction technology.
For an easy-to-use point-and-shoot camera with a unique multiview LCD screen that makes taking self-portraits especially easy, check out the Samsung MV800 MultiView.
