November 28th, 2016, Seoul, South Korea –The global optics brand, Samyang Optics (http://www.samyanglensglobal.com) announced the global availability and price of its long-awaited XP 14mm F2.4 and XP 85mm F1.2. Introduced at Photokina in September, the series is known for its excellence in performance with unprecedented resolving power, matched with 50 megapixels photo and 8K video productions. The lenses are available in Canon mount and will be on the market from December.

Under the motto of ‘Excellence in Performance’, Samyang named its first premium lens line up as ‘XP’ series and both lenses are equipped with the most advanced optical technology and upgrades the company’s inherited image quality to the next level.

Both the XP 14mm F2.4 and 85mm F1.2 manual focus lenses enable you to capture life-long memories in everlasting image quality. Bokeh, out-focusing, and starburst effect create unforgettable image. Also, the minimised aberration enhances the clarity of image, creating more impressive image than your eyes can see. With a sleek design with flowing curves in robust aluminium alloy metal, this signature line-up is a one-of-a-kind lens. The usability is maximized with considerate diameter in 93~95mm.

The XP 14mm F2.4 takes no compromise for image quality. It has 18 glasses in 14 groups including six glasses of four different special optics. The lens is designed to maximize the resolution and minimize the distortion. This optimal performance creates impressive image quality from centre to corner of image. Especially, the refractive lenses effectively adjust the path of light and deliver maximum amount to the sensor for clear and vibrant image.

The F1.2 of 85mm is, by far, the brightest lens in existing full frame DSLR lenses, securing the fast shutter speed. The beautiful bokeh, creamy background and extremely high resolution captures fine details of the model. It has ten elements in seven groups with three special glasses. Samyang Optics R&D Centre selected the elements and number of glasses with the utmost prudence to deliver excellence in performance even with the bright F1.2 system.
