Smile, Mr. Postman, This Is A Camera Mail For You

Who says we don’t love our mailmen? In spite of the strike here in Toronto (legislated back to work) and much awaited mail still not delivered? Not Matthew McVickar, who in 2006 sent an instant camera attached to a cardboard as mail and asking the mailmen who handled his package to take a self-portrait and then pass it on. This was the result: 7 pictures in all from Cape Cod, Massachusetts to Honolulu, Hawaii. Other cameramail packages sent to Washington, Japan, and Masschusetts never came back.

He wants to try again! So, wait a minute, Mr. postman, don’t throw away the cameramail. But take a picture and pass it on. You will help put a face on all your hard work. Woo, woo, woo, Mr. postman…
