The α7S II now records full-frame 4K video internally. Other video features include S-Gamut3.Cine/S-Log3, a new Gamma Assist Display, and an enhanced Zebra Function. You can also capture Full HD video at 120 fps.
The Sony α7S II has an impressive built-in 5-axis optical image stabilization that provides a 4.5-stop faster shutter speed, permitting handheld stills or movies in low-light situations.
With the world’s highest (0.78x) magnification and ZEISS® T* Coating, the XGA OLED Tru-Finder™ (2.4-million dots) shows how exposure compensation, white balance and other settings affect images. You can also use Gamma Display Assist and Zebra functions while shooting movies using the viewfinder. The 3″ LCD (1.2-,illion dots) tilts but is not touch screen.
Continuous Shooting is 5 fps. Silent Shooting mode employs an all-electronic shutter in order to shoot silently, without any sensor vibration or movement. There is no built-in flash but a hot shoe to mount an external flash.
Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communication) are built into the α7S II, simplifying transfer of photos or MP4 movies to a NFC-enabled smartphone or tablet simply by touching it with the camera, then easily sharing the photos or movies to your favorite social networking site. The PlayMemories Camera Apps add new functions and capabilities to the camera, e.g., allowing your smartphone to function as a camera’s remote control.
If low-light photography is what you shoot mostly, you need high image quality stills and videos, and you need to shoot in total silence, then check out the Sony α7S II.
