Sony NEX-5 and NEX-3 Review @ DPReview

As cameras to literally just point and shoot the NEXs do pretty well, which will be enough for some people [but] we’d be hard-pushed to think of an interchangeable lens camera less appropriate for a keen photographer. In conclusion, the NEX system shows a great deal of promise but we’d strongly advise waiting for the next generation of products.

We’ve added another Sony NEX-5 [QuickPrice Check] (and Nex-3) review to our Reviews Matrix.

DPReview has published their review of the Sony NEX-5, a Digital Interchangeable Lens (DIL, aka “mirrorless DSLR”) camera with a 14.2MP EXMOR APS HD CMOS sensor, 3.0-in. tilting LCD (921k-dot), PASM, Scene Modes, Sweep Panorama, clip-on flash, and Full HD Movie 1920 x 1080i with built-in stereo microphones. An optional optical viewfinder is also available.
