Sony has posted a teaser on YouTube about an upcoming compact camera that will be “premiering” on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 10:00 am ET.
We can just see the silhouette and it looks like there’s a Vari-angle LCD display that flips to the side (and probably faces forward). with what looks like a compact shotgun microphone at the top and held on what looks like their shooting grip with wireless remote commander. We wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a vlogging camera just in time for the “create more at-home videos” times.
Stay tuned for the announcement of the new compact camera from Sony on May 26th 2020

This is most probably the rumored ZV-1, targeted to vloggers and content-creators. It is rumored to feature a 1.0-type 20.1MP stacked CMOS sensor, super-fast AF (including a much welcomed Real-time Eye AF), 4K video, a fixed (non-interchangeable) 24-70mm zoom lens, built-in Image stabilisation, a 3-inch vari-angle LCD screen that faces forward. It will be bundled with a directional microphone with wind screen and their removable Shooting Grip With Wireless Remote Commander (which itself costs about US $138, if bought separately) which can also morph into a mini table tripod, perfect for product photography. Two features that will get lots of use: a “Bokeh Switch” blurs the background, and a “Product Showcase Setting” enables the focus to shift rapidly from your face to a product or object being held up to the lens without having to hide your face.
We expect this to become a hit product and sell like hot cakes!
