STEAMY WINDOW: An Interview with Photographer Josh Dalsimer

As part of its “Artists of Rue” campaign, Rue La La features different emerging artists who contribute to the site. In this interview, Joshua Dalsimer talks about how he shot the “Steamy Window” photo for the March login page, from the selection of the local, the steam creation inside the car to the addition of the logo in post processing.

Joshua Dalsimer is not only the photographer for our login campaign this year, but he’s been an integral part of our creative team and our conceptual process in conceiving the images themselves. And although here at Rue we all think the work is pretty cool, we were also pretty pumped that Communication Arts agreed – they selected “Steamy Window” for the prestigous 2011 Communication Arts Photography Annual. We sat down with Josh to talk about where his inspiration comes from and how he’s brought the ideas to life.
