To Catch A Mountain Lion

No, not the latest Apple Mac OS X, but a real-life elusive mountain lion known under the cryptic label P-22 and which prowls Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Photographer Steve Winter set up Nikon and Canon DSLRs, flash, and infrared sensors to try to capture a shot of the mountain lion against the LA skyline (and the Hollywood sign) for National Geographic. He got the shot… after 12 months.
